El Dia Muy BONITA.
I know my spanish sucks so propably butchered it. Anyway, launched around five, made it past the breakers to beautiful water inside the cove. Turned my ff on and nothing......shit! Go to turn the bait tank on and it's acting up.....The bait tank turned out to be fine, I just had a kayatank installed. Turns out the adapter between the battery charger and the battery is corroded, so all week I thought the battery was charged but really it wasn't even connected properly......anyway. I couldn't hold any bait, so I trolled a rapala for nothing and dropped a scrambled egg iron for a 24" ling, and a couple of rockies. A very generous pber gave me some dines and I fished those for a minute. had 2 out and one rod went Zzzzzzzzz and then nothing, immediately a fish crashed on the surface, then my other rod gets hit, Zzzzzzzzzzz and this one is on. Didn't get a good look when it hit on the surface but when I got it to color I knew it was a bonita and got a good gaff shot in the head....
Nadda for the rest of the day....See ya guys out there manana. Hasta Luego! |

That fish doesn't look thrilled to be having his picture taken.

Bait was really scarce for me today. Don't feel bad about the bait tank. Nice bonita. I was hoping for one 'cause the lady loves 'em when they are smoked

Thanks for the tip. I guess bonita is better than going home empty handed and they sure are tasty if you smoke 'em right.
