Sacramento river delta
Hi all a couple friends and I are making a trip up to the delta in search of some big female striper's in April one p not two. Years ago I fished there from the shore but I am new to kayaking and was wondering if anyone knew of any good places to put in. Or if you had any good stories of fishing up there to further fuel the fire. Thank you

When I lived up there we went on a fishing expedition and found a place that produced great numbers of fish. Sherman Point area is great to fish in. The baits we used were night crawlers and Anchovie chunks. At times you could count to 5 and sometimes not even that long and you were getting hit. You may even get some nice LMB there also hang on if you hook into a sturgeon.

We've been getting some good inside info from some other sources as well but none from a kayaker perspective. It is myself and catchinfish for sure on yaks and maybe one more kayaker going plus some shore fishers. If your interested let's talk we may end up reserving a whole campground if enough people want to go.
