get out there
Beautiful day on the water. Ten inch greenback got picked up but didn't stick. On the way home made a small spanish and right after ripping my jig back off a boil it starts screaming. The whole time I was thinking my forty pound yellowtail dream was coming true this pops up. I still believe this is a yellowtail in a wsb costume by the way it fought. When I left there was boils all over with plenty of bonita on El Jefe jimijig. If I have not seen you lately I wanted to thank everyone for the support and great feedback on my lures. They should be on the shelves shortly at Dana Landing.

Nice to meet you Jim. Great job on that ghost. Thought for sure it was yellow after sseing the boil and then you get pulled away so quickly. Stayed out 'til noon after you left and there was still bait popping and lot of bait near the kelp. I'm thinking the boils we saw were bonito since I hooked one up later in the day. May have been some other stuff mixed in chasing bait. :?: The bonito I picked up on a spanish was huge and made a short run away from me and then straight for me full speed. They were popping the bait all day long mostly near the kelp. The only way I can explain those things is like a bottle rocket on steroids attached to the line. The calico bite was pretty awesome according to some other yakers out there working the point. I landed a couple nice sandies and a calico earlier on the iron so the bite was definitely good today all around and pretty much all morning. Hopefully we can all read about the late afternoon and it willl be something good too.
