Good luck finding used lefty gear. I use lefty and it's impossible to find second hand.
Why 2-speed for the yak? Just buy a new single speed SX or MXJ. They're still on sale, $159 or $169. Load it up with 65 lb. spectra and you are ready to slay them. |

Pretty much anything 7' in the 20-50 range. Can't beat the Calstar grafighter or the Seeker Black Steel if you have a generous budget, but another rod to consider is Turner's house brand 'californian'. They often have a graphite/composite model on sale for just under $100. It doesn't have the finish quality of the calstar/seeker but its basically a $200 rod for $100.
Best thing to do is to see what fishaholic has available. He has alot of nice rods/reels for great prices. I got my grafighter from him. |

^ Here is the perfect rod IMO to pair up with a SX... (haha just kidding... of course I'm gonna plug my rod) But as stated prior, a Calstar Graphiter, or a SS black steel, are extremely nice rods (Phenix are nicer IMO but are more spendy), give us an idea of your budget. Take a look on the bloodydecks.com classified, there are often some pretty good deals. fishaholic also appears to have some sweet deals
