Pelican Case Bulkhead
Guys,
I've checked out the forum and have seen a few different types of connectors used to pass the power cable through your battery boxes. From your experience, which connector has worked the best? These dang pelican boxes are expensive and I would like some good recommendations before I drill the hole. Thanks for the help, Senor Yakman |

X3.. But to make it even easier/better, grab yourself a package of assorted sized rubber grommets from Home Depot or harbor freight tools. Drill your hole, squeeze rubber grommet in hole, run wires through grommet, then goop. I've been using this method with no issues for years now...
For the actual connection to batteries, go to your local OEX, pick up some 2 pin marine connectors. You can attach these to the battery itself, the lead wires, and your charger.. makes plugging/ unplugging and charging a breeze. I coat the connections on the battery with goop as well. |

Guys,
I really appreciate all the good ideas. Initially, I was intent on using a bulkhead to make a professional looking pass through. After reviewing all the suggestions, I think I'll go with the grommet and goop option. As stated in the posts it's simple, cheap and it works!!! That's pretty tough to beat. This forum is Great!!
