weight for deeper presentation of fly lined macs?
trying to assess what I could have done better this past weekend. I was fly lining macs with no success [other thank a decent calico] and realized afterward I could have slid a 1oz egg sinker onto my rig above a swivel and gotten my mac down deeper. I was only working the top 10' of the water column or so. I know that can often patrol deeper, and getting the bait way down opens up the chance of a nice halibut grabbing it as well. Does this sound accurate to you all?

Youll find a majority of guys troll 1 high and 1 low for this reason.
Also I recommend Carolina Keepers. Less knots to break. |
