Yani's Insane June (thanks Adi!)
It's been three years since I've caught a decent
WSB. I've been targeting them since early March. I told myself that if I focus on WSB for at least 10 outings, I should come up with at least one. Between Salt Creek and La Jolla, I got to number ten with no results. Then on trip 11 it started. 4 WSB later, I don't mind if I have to wait another 3 years. 38lbs, 45" on a live mack! In the middle of the squid run. |

I saw Yani last week. I was doing about 85 down I-5 and I look over at the fast lane next to me and I see this streak of color in the form of a mini van. I speed back up and make eye contact with Yani and he's grinning from ear to ear. I gave him the thumbs up and off he went. I think he got a tip from some one...
Yani that was me in the white ranger with the shell. Congrats on the nice catches |
