Dana Point 06/22/10
Decided late last night to headout in the am @ DP. Got a late start onto the water 9:30-10:00. Water was warm and green outside. Wind started to blow, but not bad. Decided to head inside and fish by the barge. After several drifts between bouy "C" and the barge something hit my bass stick and BAM cut the line. Wow what was that? Went to the heavier stick and after four or five more drifts, BAM hook up! First though was Hali or small WSB. Got the beast to color and it was the wrong type! Hooked a 2-½' shark on a sardine. I'm not sure what kind it was, no pics. Anyways it's mouth was like a leopard, but the color was light brown with no strips or spots like the leopard shark. Anyone know what type it may have been?

Thanks Gino. Was not sure what it was. I forgot to mention that I gave it a clean release.
