San Diego Bay 6/13
I'll add another bay report, launched from Shelter around 8am and fished until 11:30am, totalled nine fish, mix of spotties and sandies. Notable fish included a spottie that hit 3lb on the boga and a sandie that nudged near 5lb. All near the channel edge off of the bali hai area. No halibut. Action slowed near the peak tide. Would have gotten out earlier except I was 1/2 way to Shelter and somehow realized I forgot my paddle

Do you ever keep your catch from SD bay? And eat them?
Oh - that hurts forgetting your paddle - I got in the car on my first outing two weeks ago, then got out to get my paddle in the garage - I can almost feel your pain. |

rarely keep a fish, kept a nice sandie last fall, Im no chef but I thought the taste was so so. I do worry about heavy metals in the bay dwellers
