Thursday-slow morning on the pond (LJ)
Small surf, glassy no wind conditions, ripping current below, sunny, warm and beautiful out there. Those were the high points.
Bait was hard to come by, we made 4 greenies and 2 small spanish. Dragged a Storm plug and a mackeral each, around all morning. Our clickers went off a few times from snagging the tops of the kelp. Pulled the baits in occasionally when the dogs showed up to keep them from stealing the few we had. One inspection of Aaron's bait showed he was bit, though the fish must not have been very hungry. Markings made us think it was a white. We went last Sunday, and we did see the yellows pop up twice, then quickly sink out. No such adrenaline rush this time. Launched at 5:30AM, back on the beach by 11:30AM. It was dead out there, but at least it was a nice day. Good luck to the PM crew, you might need it.
