Kayak Storage
I was going nuts trying to figure out a way to hoist my yak in the garage using pulleys and eye bolts and tools and muscle. I decided to make a second run to Home Depot to see what easier method I could come up with and guess what???? It was right at the tip of my toes, literally. I found and bought two of these ratchet tie downs, they were sitting at the bottom of the display case right in front of me. Each package comes with 8' of rope and two hooks. If you buy and use these you don't needs pulleys, tie downs or multiple feet of rope. I'm making a few adjustments and will post pics once completed, once it's down I should have approx 7' of clearance.
Here's a pic of the packaging in case you're interested. They have this one and a second one that has a max capacity of 150lbs |
