Surface Iron Setup ?

Are you guys loading up your surface iron reel w/ spectra too?

As of now mine has spectra but Im in the market for a new reel and I was curious as to how the rest of you guys were setting up?

Spectra backing is fine. The reels I use for jig casting get filled to about half their capacity with spectra and the rest with mono, depending on the width of the spool. Use enough mono and then some so your longest cast will not get you to the spectra. Remember you will slowly lose a little mono.
