Did anyone lose a Mirage Drive?

There is a guy on Craig's list trying to sell a Mirage Drive with turbo fins. He obviously does not know how the thing works because in the text he describes it as "ready to bolt on to your kayak"?

My guess is this guy found or stole the drive. If anyone lost one, check out this link.

Somebody lost a Mirage drive in the surf at the La Jolla launch about 10 days ago. A lifeguard was snorkeling around in the surf trying to find it for him. I almost ran over him when I landed. Its a good thing I rolled just before I speared him with my yak.

That sucks for the person that lost the turbo fins...... I'll pass the word around on other local forums.....I'm asking myself....why hasn't the righteous owner posted that they lost them....probably too embarrassed.
