Upgraded the cherry popper
Same old same...
leave San Pedro at 2am (after little to no sleep) Launch at 4:30am Fog was crazy I was looking to upgrade my cherry popping WSB from earlier this month At somewhere near hour 14 on the water it all came together Damn I love La Jolla, Damn I love kayak fishing. 2 new personal best: 16 hours on the water & 46.10lbs - 52" of WSB love. Brian thanks for the couple macks in the morning... I was having a hell of a time making bait at first: No photo taking friends available at this hour: Just a little loopy after a long day... My last bait...safely released, sorry bout the camera flash little guy Home sweet home the next morning... and already missing The Pond, Hope to make it back soon... I'll be looking for another upgrade or maybe one of them yellowtailed thingys or maybe one of them big flat brown things |

Very nice Don.
You deserve it for all the long hours you have spent out there, and with a long drive home as well. |

Don,
Dude, after 8 hrs on the yak, my stomach muscles start to hurt big time. 14hrs? Then drive home??? But I guess with a large WSB and a bottle of diet coke, things are just honkey-dorey!! Way to fish!! Persistence, it's the only thing in life that works! |

Awesome fish.. If I'm not mistaken you were out on Friday as well?
That's a sweet "upgrade" There is no way I could do 16 hours on the water- that's impressive ( I think I did 12 one time, and I literally had trouble walking back to my truck after being wet, cold, tired and dehydrated!) Then again, its hard to call it a day sometimes, I know the feeling. |

Sweet fish Don. Congrates!
I grew up in Pedro. Went to Taper Elemetary in the 70's. Good times. Steve |

Hmmmmm...
Two trips with a total of eight hours driving, twenty-four hours of fishing and a 100% success ratio on monster WSB. Persistence, patience and confidence pays off, again.
I don't think I need to tell you that anymore...your diploma is in the mail, Don.
