night fishing
got her on the incoming tide last night about 8:00 p.m. I was solo so no on the water shot... had to settle for driveway shot. bait was thick and took all of my frozen squid within 1 hour. had to use greenbacks.
the morning bite has been weak but things are heating up. |

I love paddling out before dawn in the dark, but I always know its going to be light soon. After sunset I always get the heebeegeebees and run for the beach worried about a set coming in while I'm landing.
Pretty balsy to stay after dark, solo, in the black water, and to fight a fish you can't recognize till its in the light of the flashlight. Congratulations. That's a great accomplishment. I'll be out tomorrow at around 8 AM, in the full light of day with my Starbucks in hand and will almost certainly not get one, but you never know! It'll still be a good few hours, even without a fish. Tom |
