MLPA - Wise advice from our spearo friends

MLPA staffers read our boards. This thing isn't over. We want and need things to go our way. Please refrain from personal attacks.

Quote:
(MLPA) Okay--one more time. Keep personal attacks off the posts

We may disagree with the pro-group 3 and pro-group 1 people. I strongly disagree with their reasons and conclusions.

But let's continue to conduct ourselves with dignity and respect. No personal attacks on these people.

Lots of RSG and public members and friends in high and low places, and most importantly, countless spearos have been putting in months and years of efforts in this process.

Spearboard will not be the place where it unravels because someone feels like he wants to shoot off his mouth.

Do you really think it's smart to piss off people on the fence and give them a reason to distance themselves from us? How would name calling and personal attacks elevate our image as good ocean stewards and give people a reason to help spearos? Engage in name calling and you'll alienate BRTF, RSG, SAT, I-team, and other people whose decisions, like it or not, will determine our fate?

It may make you feel good for a minute behind the keyboard, but you will help the other side paint all spearos as kooks and bullies. You will be THEIR hero.

Everyone takes a few days and chills. It's far from over.

Let the Fish and Game Commission know what you think about the proposed maps.

Be ready for December 9th and 10th.

Spearos

A little less professional, yet a bit more up front and confrontational. Joe is right.
