Del Mar 10-11-09
Mixed it up today and hit Del Mar. Close to home and a short paddle to the fishing spot.
I was on kid duty this morning which meant a leisurely launch @10:45 am. There was a paddle out memorial for the TPHS student who died in a car crash last weekend at the Powerhouse Park. A somber start to the day. I fished the kelp/lobster bouy's for a good mix of Bonita, Barracuda and Calico. I fished artificials (Croc's, surface iron and fish trap). Nice day out. I landed at 1:45. Lots of life out there. I had the place to myself. See you all on October 21. MLPA meeting I am bringing my wife and kid's along.

Nice Change
Way to fish outside the box in SD.....used to spearfish there a bunch and have seen the biggest hali I've ever seen there....just something about the launch....the idea of taking more than a few to the chest I'm sure keeps most people away....way to make it happen.
