Shorten AHI Sabiki Rod
Does anybody know how to shorten an AHI sabiki rod? I'm thinking about just cutting it with a hack saw, but looks like the diameter of the rod tapers and may not fit correctly if I shorten it. Please help.
Thanks. |

You can read my reply where you posted on BT, if no one else here has done that.

I ended up cutting about 2 feet off the top piece and created a shim with the leftover piece. I stopped using this setup a long time ago. I'm taking out my newbie brother next week and wanted to setup something for him. I hope it works. |

we do that here in the shop with all the sabiki sticks. if you have any questions, we can give you some pointers on making it perfect.

When you say you quit using this setup a long time ago, are you refering to the original Ahi stick, the conversion, or something else? Thanks, Brian
