Bait Tank for Tarpon 130
Any suggestions for a bait tank for a Wilderness Tarpon 130? I just bought a tandem in an effort to get my wife and nephews on the water and want to rig it up for fishing. I'm thinking about placing a bait tank behind the front seat so can be reached by both people. The Bristol Bay Shimano set up looks like it may work pretty well if I secure it ....anybody out there have this kayak set up with a bait tank?

I have this kayak, and a 5 gallon bucket style works very good. I will try to post up some close up pics later.

It is a Pelican box bolted onto the bucket, I also have 3 rod holders bolted to the back of the bucket for rod storage... I have to give my friend Grego credit for building this tank!

here are some pics to Grego's "Nemo" tank.
5 gallon bucket, you can see the pvc, it just needs to be flush w/ bottom of kayak, goes through scupper hole. ![]() atwood pump, you must poor water through it, or unscrew, and "pump" pvc up and down through scupper hole until water spits out. best if pump is turned on. yeah i know how that sounds. ![]() ![]() you can secure to a padeye with a strap and clip. ![]() I have 3 rod holders on the back ![]() here is how I drain water drill some holes in back. ![]() you can use a water jug spigot for a drain at the end of the day. ![]() |
