2/15 Sunday morning bay report
Met up with my partner Sherm at SI around 0615. Launched into F.L.A.T. conditions, no wind, no tide and not a ripple on the water.
Paddled over to our first spot and wasn't long before I got my 1st feesh of the day, a fiesty 18" sandie. A short time later my bottom rig goes bendo and I pull up a PIG sculpin, the biggest I have ever caught in the bay so far. The feesh was big, fat & really pissed off so after Scott snapped a quick pic, off he went. Moved over to another spot where we got into some spottie action. Drifted around for awhile and hit one more spot before heading back to the launch around 10:30. Total for me were about 8 spotties, 3 sandies, and the piggie rattler. Fish caught using plastics smothered in Uni-Butter, crank baits, and gulp pearl swimming minnow. All fish C&R'ed. Not a wide open bite but still a very relaxing morning whackin some feesh and hanging with my bro . Peace, Spyder |
