Moyer Tourney 9-6-08
First off, big thanks to Jim, Matt, OEX, the sponsors and everyone else that worked so hard to put on this tourney so cool.
Now the report. Not many people actually caught, but those that did, did it in style. Here is my submission. 4# 13 oz certified OEX weight for the "other" category. I stuck to my game plan and fished the area that I had caught and released several of these larger models earlier in the week. After a frustrating morning of seeing schools of these big boys swim within feet of my kayak (I had my polarized specs on) I dropped the blue and white salas 6X and got an instant bendo!!! It took a strong initial run, but I was able to catch up to it due to the speed and hands free fishing capabilities of the mirage drive. After getting on top of it and an exhausting 5 minute up and down battle, I finally get this beauty secured on the game clip and breathe a sigh of relief. 95 ft, straight off the condo. Go get em while its still hot out there!!! Steve |

I heard three more were added to that honey hole shortly after a
180lber was hooked on an iron...
