La Jolla
Just a quick report because no one else will post about La Jolla these days. Went out yesterday afternoon for a few hours. Very lively out there with bird schools, lots of bait and consistent action. Calicos were very active- I could have limited on legals if I was not a proponent of letting them live. Also signs of barracuda, based on the multiple slashes on trolled macs with no hookups. I know the yellows are out there and I will find them! Just need more time on the water.

There were Spanish Mackerel and Bonitos. I caught a few Tuesday, also Tuesday my friend Mikey was fishing LJ and he caught a bunch of good size Calicos. After making bait I went out Southwest then North to the Upper North mile bank searching for Tuna or Dorados. Covered many miles but the Tuna and Dodos are way West or Way North by Catalina (too far for me). Have not located any Yellowtail either lately.
