New guy saying hi
Hi Everyone I just joined and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Chris and I'm currently shopping for a peddle kayak to get out on the water. I'm in N OC California and plan on mostly fishing Long Beach and Newport harbors until I get a little time under my belt and then start venturing outside more during nice weather to places like the Horseshoe kelp, the oil rigs, PV, Dana Pt and probably down south around SD as well. I've fished SoCal on sport boats and private boats since I was a kid, so I know the methods and the spots just not from a kayak.
Been getting a bit of runaround ordering some cross bars for my Kia so I can get a roof rack and get myself a yak but I think I've got a pair ordered from a reputable seller who has them in stock this time. Anyway, tight lines everyone and let me know if you know of any good deals on a starter peddle kayak |

My cross bars came today so I'm one important step closer. Now I have to get a some kayak mounts and a kayak and I'll be good to go!

Glad you're getting a kayak. That is the most important part of kayak fishing.

Whenever you're ready for La Jolla, let me know. I live in long beach and I go down there once in a while

Sounds good I appreciate it! I figure I'll get my feet wet in LB and NP harbors my first few trips to get a feel for it before attempting a surf launch. I have a two seat freshwater style kayak that I used to use back in the day, so I'm not completely new to kayaking, but it's been a while
