Water's still red or brown or something like that. Glassy conditions made the sight fishing interesting, though. I chased a bunch of finning YT around and finally caught up to this one. Lost two to some bad line/bad knots and a couple more spit the hooks. They seemed to like the sardine pattern Megabaits the best although I did throw a greenie at one school and was on for a while. If the water just wasn't so darn ugly ...
They all looked to be about the same size. This one was a little over 17# Good luck out there. Arne |

Sounds like plenty of action, who cares if the water looks like crap....literally. Congrats Arne, you aren't planning on leaving us all in the dust again?

It's just that time of year again - LOTS of YT early with the action slowing down by 9am. All the fish I got into I saw finning in a circle off in the distance (glassy). They stayed on top until I paddled over and I usually had 1 or 2 chances at jig tosses before they sunk out. I got within 5-10 feet of one school and had time to reel in my bait fish and throw it at 'em. Instant hook up (I lost it almost as fast).
The PM guys may have some trouble since it was all sight fishing. Nothing touched my bait on the troll ... but you never know. Good luck out there. Arne |

Hmmmm....what a difference a day makes. This morning was a dead zone. Lots of talent on the water but I didn't hear of a single fish landed. A few little guys were spotted/hooked, but I saw nothing but a turtle. Greenies at the pier and there were BIG schools of little stuff bubbling by the pier and by the buoy. Surf non-existent and it was flat calm all morning.
