La Jolla 04/25
Went out for our first trip in eight months after our great trip to the sand. Went out and just floated around. Ended up fishing out by the underwater little islands 3 miles out in 215 ft of water. Caught a handful of rock fish. Did get a small Black Sea bass in the 170ft range, good fight and swam right back down (immediately released, and never handled or taken out of the water)

Nice job on the release! Too bad the BSB wasn't something else, like a ling , huge rockfish or . Welcome back.

Welcome back. I'm sure being on the water and catching anything would have fell like a great stress releaser. Congrats on the successful release of the BSB.
