Rockfish opener weekend on the Solo Skiff

Weather was not ideal but it's Rockfish opener weekend! Wide open rockfish!

Nice variety of Rockfish, Congratulations. That big one looked like a Cowcod. When I fished out of Redondo 40 years ago Bocaccio made up 85% of the catch.

Thanks John. I went back and check and I think you might be right.. Crap! I re-edit my video. Thanks John.
Last season, I landed several large Bocaccios as well. They are still in the area but it seems like they have moved on to other locations. I will need to put times into looking for them again this year.

Hey Quang was this your first trip on the Solo?

I picked one up last year too. Let me know if you want to go out for anything except rockfish, lol.

I had some really nice trips at the end of the season at Dana Point. Lots of bonito, tons of fun.

Let's pick a calm day and head out to the Mussel Farm. I really want to see what's out there.
