Keeping it cool...
A friend gave me a couple of "Cooler Shock" freezer packs and I really liked them in the Reliable kill bag, but they didn't seem very durable especially around the sharp fins of our local rockfish...
so... I researched their website...https://www.coolershock.com/#/...and found that they made hard packs... Three of these hard plastic packs fit perfectly to line the bottom of the kill bag and the fish stays Really Really Cold...they easily last all day even in this heat we've had lately......and they keep the Tecate super chilled... Between the long life of the product, the savings on ice, and the colder temp...I think they are worth the extra cash spent on em...especially since I like my spiked and bled fish to be sushi quality when I get home... I have used frozen water bottles for years (the price is right...LOL) but they just don't last as long as this new product or get as cold, and with the flat shape of the packs the fish don't get bruised or banged around in the bag... Not affiliated with the company...I just thought I'd share a new product...

Maybe I need to get some reusable cold. Beats emptying out my ice machine to fuel my epic run of skunks lol.

Costco sells 20 pound bags of ice for about $2.50.
