LJ 8/20

Showed up around 5 after work and was greeted with a small craft advisory. Having been off the water for several months and watching the tour groups launch anyways, I thought it would be safe to head out and worst case just enjoy the evening in the cove. Launched to ankle slappers and the wind began to die down. Couldn’t make bait but did get a nice bonito on the jerkbait which pulled the hook next to the kayak. Back in at dusk. Water was blue just off the condo, lots of kelp floating.

Thanks for the report. Was planning to go out, around 10 am on 8/21, but the wind forecast looks like crap. Maybe tomorrow morning early and then off of the water by noon.

I'm planning a shore dive early tomorrow, hoping to be out of the water by 10.
