Trout Season

It looks the DFG Commission is moving the Mono County Trout season opener up to May 23rd...
Im sure those towns up and down 395 could use some cash...
Now if they'll just open the campgrounds early too...

If they don't open the campgrounds, I guess it will be only locals getting the fishing in.

Around here all the camping is at yellow post sites, do they have those up there?

With fishing open and camping closed, it's going to be WFO poop biohazard up there. I'm camping in kernville right now where private campgrounds are open and where dispersed camping never closed. I haven't seen any incidences of excess trash or human waste yet since people tent camping have access to bathrooms via private campgrounds and those dispersed camping are doing so in RVs and camping trailers. What I do feel sorry for are the locals here, none of which practice social distancing at places like grocery stores(no masks, no spacing, no limiting of occupancy). They need the money, but aren't at all prepared. I hope the folks up in Mammoth are better prepared.
