Dana Point Red Tide ......Butt
Went fishing Dana Point today on the water 6:30 AM inside harbor I already notice red tide took over anyway got sardines then headed outside of harbor .
Only beach area was clear so I didn't wanna fish on red tide I fished shallow water 10am I had big bite I thought one of usual leopard sharks (actually act like that) but I saw big table coming out Had some trouble to gaff but finally land 33 in halibut couldn't believe only 8 ft of water such big one there Had a good day bring dinner is always make wife happy Last edited by dorado123; 05-06-2020 at 03:50 PM. |

Congrats! I've been fooled too many times by those damn leopard sharks too along that beach. I too have not landed my legal butt yet, came close but that day forgot gaff and net and lost them.
