DP 08-17 report

Kind of a late post, but last Sunday I took a guest, one of our own here at BWE, out fishing, the usual location.

The trip started off pretty good, he caught a Halibut at the first location, about 1/4 inch short. We drifted inshore for a bit with no luck so we headed out to deeper domains. We ended up catching 5 Smooth-hound sharks, 2 sand bass, 1 halibut, 2 white sea bass, and missed as many more bites. And some of those bites stripped the 20 lb line out pretty fast We could have filled the kayak with the Smooth-hounds but decided to try for a couple of Leopard sharks. We weren't successful.

Water was nice, temp was around 70, a little dirty inshore, not real bad though, but better out a little.

Oh yeah, we also got to see a Great White, again, just kind of lazily swam by...
