Kayak Clothing? cold weather..

Hi All,

Im new to kayak fishing and thinking of heading up to Leffingwell to try some ling cod fishing. What specific type of clothing do I need. Are there waders, or special jackets I need to wear? I believe water is mid 50 but air temp should be in 60-70 I guess.

Thanks

NorCal guys may weigh in, but I'd bet breathable, stockingfoot waders with your favorite sweatpants on underneath will keep you toasty. Add a paddling jacket and you'll be downright hot!

Talking

this jacket works well for mid-winter lobstering on the kayak here in SD. It would work up there as a good underliner.

Does a paddling jacket keep water out if you go in?
