Fishing Gull Lake and Rock Creek Lake
Spent the weekend fishing Gull Lake off of the June Loop and Rock Creek Lake in the Sierras. Not to much action due to the erratic wind shifts. The fish where there but just weren't biting. I did manage to land a 2 pounder at Gull Lake along with some small Sacramento Perch using 1/4 and 1/8 size hookup baits in the sardine and red colord. I also managed to land 1 pansized trout at Rock Creek Lake. I lost a fish of a lifetime at Rock Creek as well while using a Pink Tasmanian Lure. Fish took of like a rocket and broke my fishing line. I lost my lure as well oh well.

Good times
I was a Gull checking out the conditions and parking at the backside launch yesterday but it was packed as was the upper end of Grant so I came back to Silver to fish once the wind died down.
Love that Little Rockcreek Lake...such a beautiful place ! Those perch and the Chubs can be a PITA down in the corner of Gull by the reeds.

I was at Gull a couple weeks ago. There was a ton of those Sacramento Perch. I heard those perch were planted in crawley and somehow made their way up. Can anyone confirm? I was catching them every cast while wading in the reeds. Managed to get a few trout near the marina on natural color tube jigs as well. Nothing over a pound though. Going back up in a couple weeks!
