Lizard Fish As Halibut Bait?

Is baiting a 3-way halibut rig a good use of lizard fish for San Diego Bay?

I have heard that lizard fish is good bait for halibut.

As for what rig, Carolina is my choice.

I agree. Thanks for that point. I've had better luck with a lighter weights and Carolina rig in San Diego Bay's more shallow depths and usually lighter currents. In La Jolla, I prefer slow dragging a 3-way with 6-8 oz to keep it on the bottom at greater depths.
