Message recieved old friend.
Twas a long day. Got out around 0600 and landed around 1730. I farmed one early and got short bit a handul of times. The small yt are almost like lake bass. They are so mouthy with the bait. I guess when your mouth is your hands it kinda makes sense. I landed my fish around 1600. Flylined mak. But the spot I landed it in was Leo’s spot. “Yt Alley” as he affectionately coined it. I remember trolling around with him and talking about life and adventures. So fitting to nab one after putting pressure on myself all day to produce that the moment i chill it happens. I had started listening to some music over my phones speaker and gave in to how relaxing it was at that moment. Zzzzzzzzz. To the boat in 5 minutes with 2 small runs. I looked up and saw where I was when I gaffed the fish I knew it had to be our old friend teaching me a good life lesson. Relax and enjoy the day out there. So thanks Leo, message received.

Nice "In Remembrance of Leo". I remember him at the launch looking out longingly near the end...
