Redondo

Been on my ass all year.

Last time I went there were no more parking validations from the tackle shop. Is this still the case?

Any tips to get parking as cheap as possible?

Going tomorrow. Thanks!

Parking is $2.00 an hour. They only validate at the restaurants and you save $2.00. I was kidding about the Patrol dock. Good luck.

Being pushed out...?

Don't give up so quickly...
Bill Brand the new mayor and his crew have been working hard to get things right...
This is from the Beach Reporter...
"Redondo Beach withdraws waterfront application, spelling project's demise
In a move that was largely viewed as the death knell to the Redondo Beach waterfront redevelopment, the City Council officially withdrew applications for the project before the California Coastal Commission."

Isn't this just a pause in the inevitable of pushing us out...?!?! Sooner or later they're going to redevelop the waterfront. No more cheap parking or small dock for us.

I was there Monday and noticed that the building where they had their models setup was empty, the first thing that came to my mind was that the project got scrapped.

this is great news!!

The hoist attendant will validate your parking ticket. It will cost you eight bucks for the hand launch.

I might be going again this weekend. Plan to just cruise around outside the breakwall.

Last Saturday I intended to chill around the canyon and outside the breakwall but there was a bunch of oil or fuel on the surface. You could smell it before you got out the harbor. My kayak has all this black crud at the waterline. Gotta wash it before it stains the plastic. Anyway, I didn't want my bait to die so I left the area.

I decide to go over to PV to fish the kelp. It was fun, non stop calicos all day but man it was tough on the way back. It was hot and I left my water bottles in the car.

I think I'm going too.

I used "303 protectant" and the slick doesn't stick.

I have some of that too. Been a while since I cleaned the kayak. I should do that soon and add the 303. Thanks for the reminder
