Ventura Harbor 7/1/18
I'm still getting my bearings on the new to me Pro Angler 12, my first kayak, but getting more comfortable as time goes on. This thing is a beast so we are launching out of the boat ramp for now. The first couple of trips were kind of depressing as the take amounted to one small croaker. Today the gods smiled and made all the effort (and expense) pay off. 1 barracuda and 8 spotted bass in about 5 hours. The boat hath been christened! Fished the jetty wall inside and out and 3" hammers and a spinner bait worked today. It was kind of exciting being on the ocean side of the jetty for the first time. Can't wait to do it again.

You are fishing from one of the best kayaks. Drop the spinners and pin on some live bait and let the good times begin!

Take your time getting used to the boat and how she feels in the ocean, your numbers will go up exponentially once you get yourself out there more often. Enjoy! |
