Maybe just the holiday weekend crowd. I'm thinking something good is going on. Boat #s increaseing last two days.

The bay bite has picked up but not noticed any real reports from LJ. So most likely just holiday

I went out on the twilight boat in DP last night, and we caught lots of calico, a couple spotties, and a sand bass. Most of them released. One dude also caught a Black Sea Bass, estimated o@ 80-90 lbs. I said 75, but what do I know. The BSB was caught on a half mackerel slab, aboiut 30 seconds after he hit the bottom with it. Took dude 20+ minutes to bring it up. Quickly released.
