CONGRATS! This morning? I was out as well, testing the X13 in big water. Spoke to you last week at the launch. I remembered you from 3 years ago.. LJ PM shift. You right?

Hey, thanks for the props. I thought i saw you right as i was launching.
Man that surf was harsh! did you see that set wave stand my yak right up and launch me backwards. I road that wave in all the way backwards. How did that x13 work in the surf ? The waves were cracken hard!!! Hanapa'a Out..... |

No thread jack...
Nothing but good words to say about that yak. It is definitely worth test paddling out there. Light, cuts through the chop, tracks well, and more importantly surfs great. There was a stiff SSW wind, but since the kayak sits low it wasn't bad. I couldn't have chosen a better day to test that kayak. Bad conditions, but it performed well. While out on the fishing grounds some guy asked if I was Josh.. Now, do I really look like The Darkhorse? lol The surf was unforgiving. But, you were rewarded! Short intervals, sucked. I managed a dry launch/landing. At one point I stared at a 4-5ft wall coming at me before landing. I saw one guy flip. It kind of looked like he gave up once the wave took him. Once again, congrats on your white.

Nice going. I guess I zigged when I should have zagged. You zagged
and got hooked up! Nice job! I went back and worked that area we were in for another 2 hours with no hits. You did good. |

Nice fish! It sure looked pretty sittin' in your yak on the way in. We worked the area a while longer but no glory. The surf launch today was humbling indeed.
