Baja Sur Trip 2017

I've been trying to hit Southern Baja every October for the last few years. This being my 3rd trip in four years and as expected, Baja always seems to show her best side in October and never disappoints...well at least not yet.

Species
Yellowtail
Calico Bass
Grouper
Pacific Dog Snapper
Snook (came off at the boat)
Jack Crevalle
Spotted Bay Bass

LOST SNOOK!!!

The Rossman with a standard Asuncion model

My only YT of the trip

I've yet to experience a better bass fishery

You can find them halfway down the Pacific side of the peninsula. Below that, I think the water is too warm for them. Then again, Ive never fished points south of there, so I could be wrong. I plan on fishing Mag Bay at least once before I leave this planet though....

Great report Roger. Always great to have you visit. You should do it more often. Thanks for all of the goodies that you delivered.

Great photos of fish!

I especially like the shots of the little nooks and crannies that you were catching them in.

Did you get a chance to fish Estero Coyote or were the corvina, grouper and jack crevalle from Estero La Bocana?
