The Solo's are coming.
On the 9th of October our solos are due to arrive at OEX Mission Bay. After a long wait mine arrives.
As I understand it there is only one not pre-paid. So if you are on the fence, you might want to grab it up. If not there should be 5 more shipping soon. Tight Lines. BTW the Boonedox landing gear have been Baja tested and they PASSED. Make sure you get the wheeleze tire model for the Solo.

Bob, can't wait to hear more about your experiences with the Solo. By the way, I checked out Mako-Ville, very cool, can't wait to see which Baja pic you're going to put up on the top of the front page!

I took my Solo out last Saturday to fish Zuniga jetty and launched from the beach next to the closed Shelter Island ramp. Pulling it across the parking lot, down the sand and into the water was super easy.
Pulling it back up the steep sand, over the sandstone berm and back to the truck was much more difficult, but after stopping several times to catch my breath wasn't much harder than pulling on a PA14 I guess. The sand tires and the new struts worked flawlessly. Now the only outstanding issue I have is when returning back to the beach, getting the wheels down and in place is a serious struggle doing it alone. I have an engineering solution in my mind - just have to obtain the materials and put it together for test... Met CON KSO out there with his fly rod, but it was tough fishing on opening day of lobster season... |

One for Baja and one for California, then for special trips like Mag Bay I could take both so a friend could have the use of one. Tight Lines amigos.
Kai, pay the house off early, save for retirement and LIVE life. Or better yet hit the lottery? LOVE the life you live or, LIVE the life you LOVE.
