Nope - they get away from the Hobie drive patent by using a ring and pinion arrangement to operate the drive.
Good - we need some competition because I think what Hobie is charging for the 180 drive is flat out way too much. |

You ever see those ads for fishing reels that look just like the $300 one but is only $49.95 made in China..............how did that work out for ya?
They are probably $550 each if you purchase a container of em.
