bassin the hali @ sm reefs 4-5-08
hit up my local spot
for an all dayer 8am to 5pm noticed a shit load of boats then i remebered hali derby ahhhhhh decided to head south and pray for favorable winds for later started out cloudy and cool and calm avg wave action but swell was bumpy for the morning later it mellowed out considerbly and wind was as i had hoped...light and mostly onshore also the sun made an appearence for partly cloudy skys fished along the coast for 1 small sandy before heading out a few mi to the reefs all small fish this outing sand bass, calicos and about 10-12 copper rockfish 12" was the typical got rocked twice on the big ass basstrix swimmy set the hook past the barb and broke em off pretty sure one was a big ass bass no hali for me radio chatter gave me the impression that there was a lot of hali skunking goin on but that might just have been trickin guess theres always next time typical critter conditons at landing it was frickin nice out paul |

Cool to see a report from lesser known areas. Thanks for sharing your day.
