Updating pre-owned Navionics Card?
All,
Just curious if anyone has ever gone through the process of updating a pre-owned Navionics card? I finally got my electronics setup dry-rigged and noticed it was really light on data for the west coast water. I'm assuming since this unit was pre-owned and originally used in the midwest on lakes and rivers, it needs the data for the Pacific Coast and oceans. Thanks everyone! - KT |

Will update if it's less than a year old. After that you need to pay for a new year.

I'm looking through the Navi website and it looks like its just a paid update, and I might even be able to update my existing card and not wait for a new one. I'll get a Mini SD to SD adapter from my I.T. department and report back later tonight. - KT |

Update:
The Navoinics+ "update" is SUPER easy thanks to the fantastic Navionics software. It allows for detailed customization of the areas you want loaded on your card, including source sonar data and community inputs. I opted for the entire west coast, including Mexican waters, and my freshwater stomping grounds of Arizona. By the way, these maps have a lot of data on them. I feel like I need a decoder ring to figure this whole thing out... LOL |
