Just got a new Kayak to start this hobby whehre are some good launching places?
Hi All,
Finally pulled the trigger on a 2017 Hobie PA14 this past weekend and trying to finish rigging her up. I'm planning on hitting mostly the bay until i can get enough experience with yak fishing then hopefully do the LJ for bigger game. Where are you guys mostly launching from? I will be transporting my yak in my Tahoe so parking place is a must. Spanish landing are charging by the hour for parking now so any other easy to launch from places you guys can share? Thanks much! |

For Mission Bay- Dana Landing or the beach in front of OEX if you get there early enough

Transporting IN your Tahoe? If so, may I suggest a different method? That yak is going to be wet at minimum and likely sandy, plus if you get in a roll-over accident consider yourself dead.
If transporting ON, disregard. |
