LJ 6/17/17 report
Easy launch, very little wind at 6am. Made bait fairly easy just outside the reserve but it was mostly sardines. Half of them died within 30 minutes, too fragile compared to macs.
Caught this guy while making bait. Monster! A few fly lined sardines got raked but nothing stuck for a couple of hours. One of only 2 macs I caught that day got bit on the fly line around 10:30 near the 10/NW Corner in about 90ft depth. 10 minutes later a sprocket part on my Hobie drive broke- must've had a stress fracture. Limped back to the launch on half a drive and the paddle, but the YT made up for it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
