No way - as long as there's lizard fish I'm not giving up on the bait ... Very nice Mr. Allen.

Congrats, cool picture too! Hmmm, wonder if I could sneak out, before going to the desert tomorrow at 10AM. I wonder if I fished from 5-9AM, if I would be in the correct time frame... hint hint

Damn, i was down at the docks admiring Nelz's tuna. Looks like an early morning run is in order tomorrow. But I'm with Arne, I'll stick to the lizards and macs. Nice fish Andy.

I did an 0'dark launch into the 6" surf and hit the pier. A sealion was hanging out and had the macs skittish, Finally at the first hint of grey I decided to take my 3 greenies and head to the spot. Put a bait on the bottom and yoyoed a few times and moved and yoyoed and moved. Third stop, 95 feet, dropped down and started back up and got hit. The fish just sat there shaking it's head for awhile before taking off across the bottom and showing me it's size. The big tail beat had my heart thumping as I knew it was a good one. After some back and forth and color twice I stuck the gaff around 7 AM. Thanks to Adam for coming along and taking a pic. I have not had a fish get my heart pumping that hard in awhile. Sign of squid, as I pulled up an egg sack. YT also had one fresh squid in it's belly.

Andy.......What are you thankful for?

Nice job, bro. Way to make me pay for being too broke to make the drive to LJ. Next you'll probably make me regret going to La Buf this weekend.

nice fish,

corey

As long as Kurt sticks to the roadside tamales and no frijoles you will not regret La Buf. Sorry you could not make it this morning.

Troy, are you jealous of my constipation

Kurt will be up in Mammoth, fly fishing with a sabiki rig. Nice fish, Andy.

I would be thankful if yt that size showed up in LJ again soon, I wouldn't care if they hit bait or iron. See everyone out there tomorrow.

Very nice Andy. I was in that area a few days ago and snagged some eggs on the iron too. I might have to try to jig up some live ones next time out. I just started building a new yoyo stick. It looks like I need to hurry up and finish it.
