LA County 4/22/2017 Weekend Report
It's been a long dry winter for me after not fishing since Thanksgiving weekend. I finally made it out for the first time to shake out the cobwebs. Hit the breakwater on Sat for calico bass, landed several, mostly small models with the largest going around 16". Moved to the inside to bounce swimbaits for halibut and landed my first legal from the kayak. Fished again on Sunday and focused only on flatties, connected on a nice one that bit me off and landed a short. Felt great to be back on the water.
