Tennessee kayak fishing tournament
Torqeedo sponsors Tennessee kayak fishing tournament | Trade Only Today
Posted on April 18th, 2017 Electric boat motor manufacturer Torqeedo returned to the 2017 Kayak Bass Fishing National Championship as a main title sponsor. Kurt Smits won the two-day tournament, which was held March 31 and April 1 on Kentucky Lake in Paris, Tenn. Smits overcame high winds, cold weather and more than 350 competitors to take home more than $40,000. “The second annual national championship was a showdown of the nation’s top kayak bass anglers, with the largest payout in our sport’s history,” TV host and tournament organizer Chad Hoover said in a statement. “It also kicked off the 2017 season, where fishermen will compete in local clubs and trail events for a chance at an even larger prize in 2018.” Torqeedo said it is a longtime supporter of small-boat fishing. “Fishing is one of the most popular outdoor sports, getting hundreds of thousands of people outside and on the water every year,” Torqeedo senior vice president Steve Trkla said. “A kayak with a Torqeedo Ultralight 403 allows anglers to get into shallower waters than most fishing boats can reach, sometimes miles away from a dock or a boat launch. That’s where you’ll find the big fish.” http://www.tradeonlytoday.com/2017/0...ng-tournament/ |

I can only imagine the sight of 350 kayaks doing a shotgun start down in Mission Bay...
