Newport Harbor + Video

Finally got the chance to break my kayak in fishing for spotted bay bass last Wednesday. Since I usually fish for lmb, decided to give saltwater bass a try. I also got sick of driving long distances and paying entrance fees for lakes. Lol. End up fishing at Newport harbor. I launched around 2pm and fished till 6:30 pm. The bite was kinda slow in the beginning but later picked up 2-3 hours before sundown. Never fished for spotties before, but had fun them! Check out the video for the results. Would really appreciate your subscription too ! https://youtu.be/C-6wqrXjx9g

P.S I'm also looking for kayak buddies to link up with, especially to go out deeper. Been dreaming of catching me a yellow tail for quite some time.

That's the same reason I got into saltwater kayak fishing.

I was at the shore of upper Castaic lake and saw a dude on a kayak. Went home, found this site while researching and realized I don't need to pay the lake fees...plus I get to fish in the ocean!?!

Little did I know this would end up costing me thousands lol

great video. I miss fishing out there in the harbor! I stopped a few months ago because it was so slow (for me). I haven't been out in my yak for months, but it's looking like it's time to go again!

thanks for posting something local to me!

Awesome job on the spotties. It's great to see a young lady out there. I have three daughters who like to fish. This video will help to convince them to come with me sometime.

Tip of the day: look at the Tides4fishing.com website to see what the tide was doing when you fish. It was low tide at 3:40 so there would've been less water movement. Fish usually bite less during a slack tide. They are more active when the waters moving and lots of food is passing by.

Cool video but you next time you should try editing it and shortening the length of the video. I read somewhere that the average length of someone who watches a video is under 3minutes and the average attention span is under 1 minute. As an example, I watched about 40-50 seconds of the beginning and as soon I noticed it was over 15min long I skipped along and watched some of the middle and the end, all together I watched just over a minute of the video.

Again, cool video and good job on how you mixed in the music and your own audio.

BTW....what's the name of the song?
